09 Aug The Power of a Mastermind Group
August 9, 2017, Valencia
This past Monday, we had the 10th (and last session of this first season) of a Mastermind Group I created for 6 of my women clients. If you’re my client and you were not invited, don’t worry, I promise you’ll be in the next group It’s just that I felt that more than 6 would not create the same impact and interaction.
I selected totally different women, all Brazilian, but from different cities and professional backgrounds.
Every Monday we had a call at 12pm, for 30 minutes, when they had to answer 3 questions publicly. And they had to be clear, short and objective, which was already a challenge and a learning opportunity for some of them.
– What was the best thing (1 to 3 things at the most) that happened to you and your business this past week?
– What is the one thing that needs to happen in your business next week to make you even happier than you are?
– Where do you need help and how can we add?
The results were amazing. One of them, the youngest and maybe the “less experienced” one in the group sold her services to pretty much all the others. Another one, basically created a new service under her business umbrella, to help solve the problems of 2 of the girls, and at the end I think she might just have noticed how much this service can add to her core business and bring in a new source of income that she hadn’t even thought of. Now they are all sharing the tools and the freelancers they use to solve their problems in our closed FB group and some of them even found time to meet in person in Brazil to help each other even more.
Because they knew that every Monday we’d be together for that call, they were inspired during these 10 weeks to have something new and some results to share with the rest. It’s the “weight watchers” method. Getting people together who share the same “problem”, in their case, they’re all starting a new business project, to listen to each other’s problems and solutions. It creates power and inspiration for all.
Now we decided we’ll be 10 weeks apart and get back together to see how much has happened with all of our projects. And we decided we’ll let boys in the group next time, to see how that goes. Variety and Diversity do bring interesting “spices to the menu”.
For me, as a business coach, it was just a confirmation of how much value “connecting people” can have. Specially power business girls like my lovely clients
